Other presentations will include executive function skills following CVA and addressing intimacy and relationships following a stroke to improve quality of life. Bridging the gap between therapy and orthotics regarding AFO selection as well as research updates on capacity versus performance will be included. DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Brain Injury Association of Michigan (BIAMI) Fall Conference will be held on Friday\, September 22\, from 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. in Lansing\, Michigan. The purpose of this conference is to provide state-of-the art information about brain injury treatment and therapies\, which will foster maximal rehabilitation and a better quality of life. This conference is designed to benefit persons engaged in therapies with persons recovering from injury as well as caregivers and persons with brain injury. Learning will occur with discussion\, case studies\, exhibits\, practicum\, and lectures. The audience is intended to include all those interested in issues and trends in brain injury rehabilitation. \nThe Creative Mobility Group\, a Brain Injury Association of Michigan member\, is proud to support the 2023 Brain Injury Association of Michigan Fall Conference as a Bronze Exhibitor. \n\nAbout Brain Injury Association of Michigan\nThe Brain Injury Association of Michigan is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of individuals affected by brain injuries\, including survivors and their families\, by providing support\, resources\, advocacy\, and education. The organization works to address the various challenges faced by individuals with brain injuries\, which can result from a range of causes\, such as traumatic brain injury (TBI)\, acquired brain injury (ABI)\, stroke\, anoxia\, and other neurological conditions. BIAMI aims to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by these injuries and foster a supportive community that understands their unique needs. \nSome of the key aspects of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s work include: \nSupport Services: BIAMI offers support services and resources for brain injury survivors and their families.
