Yes, VMI is currently able to convert the Toyota Sienna Hybrid for model years 2021-2023. However, there are specific requirements that may exclude a model from being compatible for conversion or may require additional charges. Additionally, the vehicle must meet all the condition specifications, including:

  • Mileage must be under 50,000
  • Vehicle must be in sound condition
  • Vehicle must never have been involved in an accident

All vehicles are inspected and subject to acceptance/rejection upon arrival at VMI’s plant.

If you would like to equip your Toyota Sienna with a VMI wheelchair accessible conversion, please contact your local Creative Mobility Group dealership to speak with a mobility consultant and confirm compatibility. Towing is not recommended on the VMI Northstar Toyota Sienna Hybrid.

Aftermarket trailer tow packages are prohibited on the VMI Northstar Toyota Sienna Hybrid wheelchair van.

The ground clearance is 5.6".

The high voltage battery warranty is 120months/150,000 mile, and the hybrid system warranty is 96 months/100,000 miles.​ The BraunAbility conversion does not affect Toyota's New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

VMI offers one of the most extensive conversion service warranties in the mobility industry. The VMI warranty covers modifications made to the vehicle by VMI including components installed by VMI as well as Toyota components and systems affected by VMI modifications and components for 3 years or the first 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. VMI also warrants the structural metal fabrication of the VMI frame and components from rust-through corrosion for a period of 7 years and unlimited miles.

No, a VMI conversion does not void the Toyota warranty. Toyota Siennas converted for wheelchair access are warranted under the same terms and conditions as Toyota's New Vehicle Limited Warranty; conversion-related modifications are warranted by BraunAbility and serviced by The Creative Mobility Group.

All new Toyota Siennas also comes standard with Toyota Care, the complimentary car maintenance plan that includes 24-hour roadside assistance for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. New Siennas converted for wheelchair access also qualify for Toyota Mobility Assistance.
