The Creative Mobility Group is thrilled to announce our partnership with Toyota and BraunAbility. This collaboration is a significant step towards bringing accessibility to the forefront of the 2025 Detroit Auto Show. This January, a wheelchair-accessible Toyota Sienna, outfitted with BraunAbility’s innovative in-floor ramp system, will be proudly displayed in Toyota’s exhibit space at Huntington Place.

A Milestone in Accessible Vehicle Representation
The Detroit Auto Show, with its storied history and prestige as a premier auto show since 1907, has long been a pillar of Detroit’s automotive roots. It serves as a global stage for showcasing the latest innovations in the automotive industry, drawing visitors and manufacturers worldwide. Including a wheelchair-accessible Sienna minivan in Toyota’s main exhibit space underscores the event’s commitment to evolving and embracing inclusivity. It is also another example of how Toyota demonstrates its unwavering commitment to mobility and accessibility.
Major auto shows like the Detroit Auto Show often reserve auxiliary spaces to display vehicles modified to accommodate people with disabilities. This year, however, the Toyota Sienna’s inclusion in Toyota’s main exhibit space marks a significant step forward in promoting awareness of accessible vehicle options to a broader audience. It’s a moment that highlights the importance of inclusivity and ensures accessible vehicles receive the recognition they deserve.
“We’re excited to showcase the Toyota Sienna in such a prominent location,” said The Creative Mobility Group’s Marketing Director, Tommy Stowers. “This partnership with Toyota and BraunAbility allows us to educate more people about the innovative solutions available for individuals and families needing accessible transportation.”
Toyota Mobility – A Commitment to Mobility
Toyota Mobility is an initiative by Toyota designed to enhance the accessibility and mobility of people with disabilities. The program offers financial support, resources, and mobility solutions to enable individuals with disabilities or special transportation needs to lead more independent and active lives.
Toyota has been a part of the mobility community since 2001 when it introduced the Tundra pickup truck with a wheelchair lift. Today, Toyota’s expanded lineup includes vehicles that can be equipped with a wide range of mobility assistance products. Toyota ensures high-quality mobility solutions through partnerships with the industry’s leading conversion companies, BraunAbility and Vantage Mobility. These are the only two conversion manufacturers that Toyota has approved to modify the Toyota Sienna to be wheelchair accessible.
Additionally, programs like the Toyota Mobility Assistance Program further support customers by offsetting the cost of adaptive equipment installed on new Toyota vehicles, such as wheelchair ramps, hand controls, or lifts. Reimbursement typically ranges up to $1,000, depending on the equipment and modifications.
