Children’s Special Health Care Services of Kent County Back to School Bash – 2025

Join Us at the Kent County CSHCS 4th Annual Back to School Bash!

The Creative Mobility Group is proud to participate in the 4th Annual Back to School Bash hosted by Kent County’s Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 5 PM – 7 PM. This lively event takes place at the Kent County Health Department (Annex parking lot behind the main building at 700 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).

This back-to-school celebration is specially designed for families of children enrolled in CSHCS. With an array of games, food, prizes, live animals, and back-to-school supplies, the event offers both fun and practical resources tailored for children with disabilities. It’s a fantastic way to kick off the school year while connecting with community programs and services.

The Creative Mobility Group will be on-site to showcase one of our wheelchair accessible vehicles and answer questions about vehicle modifications, adaptive driving equipment, and funding assistance options. Whether you’re exploring transportation solutions for the first time or looking to upgrade, our mobility specialists will be available to provide expert guidance and resources to help you get started.

Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) is a program under the Kent County Health Department and the Michigan Department of Community Health. It serves children—and some adults—with severe, chronic health conditions by offering access to medical treatment, service coordination, and financial assistance. CSHCS supports families regardless of income, and works alongside private insurance plans to ensure that children get the comprehensive care they need.
