Driver Rehabilitation

Learning to drive following an injury or illness that affects physical mobility may require an evaluation by a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS). These professionals are trained to assess drivers’ visual, perceptual, cognitive, and physical abilities and make recommendations for adaptive driving equipment based on these assessments. Driver rehabilitation schools specialize their training for people with:

  • Dwarfism
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Paraplegia
  • Post-stroke disabilities
  • Quadriplegia
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Upper and/or lower extremity amputation

The Creative Mobility Group is a member of the Association of Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED). We have partnered with many driver rehabilitation programs throughout Michigan and can suggest specific programs based on each customer’s individual needs. For more information on ADED or to find a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist in your area, please visit www.aded.net or call them toll free 866-672-9466.
