At this time, BraunAbility is not converting customer-supplied units for the Chevrolet Traverse. 

If you currently own a Traverse, you can check out our product guide for other mobility options available for your vehicle. Or consider trading in your vehicle toward your purchase of a wheelchair accessible Traverse.

At this time, the Traverse is the only SUV model BraunAbility is converting to be wheelchair accessible. Other GM models equivalent to the Traverse, such as the GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave, are not compatible for a BraunAbility conversion.

If you currently own a GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave, you can check out our product guide for other mobility options available for your vehicle. Or consider trading in your vehicle toward your purchase of a wheelchair accessible Chevrolet Traverse.

The BraunAbility Chevrolet Traverse is not available in AWD. However, if you are interested in an all-wheel-drive wheelchair accessible vehicle, the VMI Toyota Sienna Hybrid Northstar is AWD capable.

At this time, BraunAbility offers the Chevrolet Traverse with a power in-floor ramp only. Wheelchair accessible vehicle options with a fold-out ramp include the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey, and Toyota Sienna. 

If the vehicle was equipped with a factory-installed trailer tow bumper package prior to being converted, a Chevrolet Traverse with a BraunAbility side-entry wheelchair conversion will retain the factory towing capacity that ranges between 3,500 - 5,000 lbs. Towing capacity will vary by trim level and occupant/cargo configuration.  However, all OEM vehicle weight ratings and safe loading practices must be following. Please refer to the Owner’s Manual as it clearly defines requirements for towing.

Aftermarket trailer tow packages are prohibited on the BraunAbility Chevrolet Traverse.

BraunAbility's Traverse is the most spacious wheelchair accessible SUV available and can comfortably accommodate most wheelchairs. The best way to determine if this vehicle is a good fit for you is to schedule an in-person demo with The Creative Mobility Group.

No, a BraunAbility conversion does not void the GM warranty. A Chevy Traverse converted for wheelchair access is warranted under the same terms and conditions as GM's New Vehicle Limited Warranty; conversion-related modifications are warranted by BraunAbility and serviced by The Creative Mobility Group.

A new Traverse converted for wheelchair access also qualifies for a reimbursement of up to $1,500 plus 2 years of OnStar® Safety & Security coverage and Remote Access Plan with available Wi-Fi hotspot through the GM Accessibility Adaptive Equipment Program.
