At The Creative Mobility Group, our wheelchair van rental program is designed to be both flexible and economical. Whether you’re looking to rent a wheelchair accessible vehicle for a day, a weekend, or a month, we have short and long-term rental options to meet your needs.

Standard wheelchair van rentals are equipped with a fully powered, side-entry ramp system and can accomodate up to six passengers. The van will also have retractable wheelchair tie-down securement straps. A knowledgeable team member will instruct you on proper use of the equipment.

For your convenience, we also offer vehicle delivery and pickup throughout Michigan including all airports (DTW, GRR, FNT and others).

Reservation Checklist

Ready to make a reservation? Please call 888-998-4264 to speak with a Rental Coordinator. Be sure to have the following information available to help expedite the reservation process:

  • Current driver’s license for all drivers
  • Auto insurance card with agent’s name and contact information
  • Flight information if applicable
  • Credit card for reservation deposit
  • Special requests or accommodations for a wide or tall wheelchair

Driver’s license and  auto insurance cards can be emailed to rentals@creativemobilitygroup.com.


  • Payment is due in full at the time of delivery
  • For reservations booked with a debit card, an additional $250 will be held as a security deposit


Full refunds are provided if a 24 hour advance notice is provided. For any notice under 24 hours, a $75 cancellation fee would apply.

  1. Listed rates include 100 miles/day and are based on pickup and return at same location within 24 hours from time of the scheduled reservation. Rates do not include 6% sales tax and delivery fees. Rates based on rental of a wheelchair accessible Dodge Grand Caravan, Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, or similar vehicle. Rate will be provided before a reservation is confirmed. Additional charges may apply for optional accessories. Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as they were checked out with or a $20 refueling surcharge will apply in addition to the cost to refuel. Vans returned over the allowable miles will be charged $0.35 per mile. Rates are subject to change without notice.
  2. Pickup Friday after 2pm and return Monday before 9am. Rate includes 250 miles total.

How long in advance do I need to make a reservation?

It is recommended that you make your reservations at least two weeks in advance. The summer months and holidays are the busiest times of the year so it is best to call as early as possible.

What is the deposit amount?

To secure your reservation, the following deposit amount is required: $100 for 1 to 6 day reservations, $300 for 7 to 29 day reservations, and $500 for 30+ day reservations.

Are rental deposits refundable?

Yes, deposits are refundable if a timely cancellation is received. Full refunds are provided if a 24-hour advance notice is provided. For any notice under 24 hours, a $75 cancellation fee would apply.

Do you require a security deposit?

For reservations booked with a debit card, an additional $250 will be held a security deposit during the reservation period.

If I rent a van from Accessible Rentals by CMG, is someone else allowed to drive it?

Yes, someone else is permitted to drive the van as long as he or she is over the age of 23 and a copy of a valid driver’s license and proof on insurance is on file.

What kind of vans do you rent?

Our most popular van is a wheelchair accessible minivan with power sliding doors and a power side-entry ramp. We also offer rear entry minivans, full-sized vans, and vans outfitted with adaptive equipment for drivers (e.g., hand controls, driver transfer seat).

Can I rent a van for one or two days in order to help make a purchase decision?

Absolutely! The Weekend Special is a great way to evaluate if a van purchase is right for you or your family. In many instances, your full rental charge will then be credited towards your purchase.

If I am arriving at the airport or can’t get to my nearest CMG location, are you able to deliver?

Yes, we provide delivery of handicap rental vans, though additional charges often times apply. Please notify your Rental Coordinator at the time of making your reservation to confirm scheduling and pricing.
